ADDING YOUR VOICE AND MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Our “New Voice” Campaign is a short-term appeal for the funding needed to launch Voices' new era – a period of renewal and re-invention. With Voices new leadership in place (John Morgan was named Executive Director March 31) this is our opportunity to find our Voice, a new and even more trusted and inspiring one, to speak on behalf of Virginia’s children.

A donation to Voices is your chance to help children by helping Voices get stronger. If you donate by July 4th, you will be contributing to the development of our 2009 Children's Legislative Agenda and will have played a role in the successes we have in the General Assembly!

A very generous donor has already pledged $20,000 to jumpstart the campaign and challenged us to leverage that gift by raising additional funds from our supporters. Please help us meet the challenge with an online donation right now!

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE

Many gifts to Voices are made in memory or in honor of a loved one or friend. Often family members, coworkers, or civic organizations participate in a group gift. Such gifts can be given as memorials or in commemoration of birthdays, anniversaries, and other significant life events.

Matching Gifts and Payroll Deduction
Often your gift to Voices can be doubled, sometimes even tripled, by matching funds from your employer. Many public companies can support Voices for Virginia’s Children through payroll deduction. Please contact your employer's Human Resources Department for more information.

Donations of Stock
When making a gift of appreciated securities, you may receive a charitable deduction for the market value of the gift and save the capital gains tax which would otherwise be payable upon sale of the assets. To receive these benefits, securities must be transferred to Voices prior to sale. Please call the Finance Office for transmittal instructions and assistance.

Underwriting
Publications that Voices for Virginia's Children produces throughout the year can be underwritten with your gift. A special acknowledgement recognizing the donor will be included in the publication.
